Duodenal Ulcers
The duodenum, the first part of the small intestine, starts at the pyloric sphincter, a valve located where the stomach ends. This valve controls the flow of the contents of the stomach to the duodenum and, if it malfunctions, many stomach acids may pass to the duodenum and cause problems. As a result, inflammations on its walls may occur and ulcers might form. Stress is a very important factor in the occurrence of these problems, as well as the quality of our diet.
