Dandelion

Taraxacum officinale

Species:

Compositae

Other names:

A medicine which stimulates liver function, as it aims towards a diuretic effect, results in potassium loss from our body, something that worsens cardiovascular disorders. Dandelion is one of the best natural sources of potassium. It is, therefore, an ideally balanced diuretic which can safely be used when we are in need of a diuretic effect, even in cases of fluid retention caused by heart disorders. It is especially effective as part of a treatment for muscular rheumatisms. It is a valuable tonic and perhaps the best diuretic and tonic of the liver. As a cholagogue it can be used in cases of liver and gallbladder congestion.
